A Queen's Bench judge has overturned a guilty finding against former Regina police officer Robert Power.

He was charged following an interaction with an intoxicated man during an arrest in 2012.

Power was subsequently fired by the Regina Police Service.

He was tried in Provincial Court and was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm.

However, the higher court reviewed the decision and overturned the guilty finding and instead found Power not guilty.
