Emma and Liam once again most popular baby names in Sask.

Jack is back and Sarah is surging, according to the Saskatchewan government's list of top baby names in 2014.

Lincoln, Harper hit top 20 list in 2014 after being absent in 2013

Some might say the annual list of top baby names is a big yawn: Emma has been the top girl's name for six years in a row and Liam, for the fifth year in a row, is tops for boys.

Jack is back and Sarah is surging, according to the Saskatchewan government's list of top baby names in 2014.

For the fifth year in a row, Liam was the most popular name for boys. For the sixth year in a row, Emma was the most popular girls name.

Some names that weren't on the top 20 list in 2013 made a comeback in 2014. For girls, Sarah, Aria, Harper and Claire made it after being absent the year before.

For boys, Jack, Oliver, Luke and Lincoln saw renewed popularity last year and made the top 20.

Here's the top 20 for girls: Emma, Olivia, Sophia, Emily, Ava, Brooklyn, Avery, Sadie, Ella, Lily, Chloe, Zoey, Isabella, Abigail, Sarah, Aria, Harper, Hannah, Claire, Ellie.

Here's the top 20 for boys: Liam, William, Noah, Mason, Jacob, Logan, Carter, Hudson, Lucas, Alexander, Jack, Jaxon, Oliver, Hunter, Luke, Lincoln, Samuel, Owen, Benjamin, Ethan.

The 15,773 births registered in 2014 is the highest since 1990, when 16,094 were registered.
