Darian Durant to start for Roughriders after 2 games out
Quarterback has been on the sidelines after suffering ankle injury
Quarterback Darian Durant will return to the field tomorrow when the Roughriders take on the Calgary Stampeders.
The backup quarterbacks are Mitchell Gale, Vad Lee and G.J. Kinne, in that order.
Durant didn't play for two games after suffering an ankle injury in a game against the B.C. Lions.
It wasn't the first time the quarterback has been sidelined by an injury.
Last June, Durant ruptured his Achilles tendon. The injury kept him out for the 2015 season, and he wasn't able to return until one year later.
Durant was also out for most of the 2014 season due to an elbow injury — having just helped the team clinch a Grey Cup victory in 2013.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders play the Calgary Stampeders on Thursday at McMahon Stadium. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. CST.
