Conservative Gerry Ritz re-elected in Battlefords-Lloydminster

Gerry Ritz has once again been elected as the Member of Parliament for Battlefords-Lloydminster.

Gerry Ritz has once again been elected as the Member of Parliament for Battlefords-Lloydminster.

It's the seventh-straight time Ritz has been elected in the riding.

The Delisle, Sask., native defeated Larry Ingram (Liberal), Glenn Tait (NDP), and Mikaela Tenkink (Green).

Ritz was first elected to office 1997 as a member of the Reform Party.

The 64-year-old has served as the minister of agriculture in the Conservative government since 2007.
