1-litre bottle of concentrated methadone stolen, Saskatoon police worried
Drug could be lethal, police warn
A one-litre bottle of concentrated methadone was stolen Sunday and police in Saskatoon have issued a warning that ingesting the drug could have fatal consequences.
Police said the bottle, which is brown with a black lid, was stolen earlier in the day from a business in the city. While the business was not identified by police, the bottle would typically be found in a pharmacy.
"Any prescription drug should not be consumed without the appropriate prescription issued by a medical doctor," police said in a statement about the case.
They were also seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect and retrieving the methadone before anyone is injured.
