Fields aren't receiving enough water and so the city is closing a few indefinitely.
The ripple effect of Regina's water shortage is now forcing the closure of some athletic fields. The city's lawn bowling facility and some ball diamonds and athletic fields will be shut down.

"If there is continued use, these areas may deteriorate to a point they would not be available for use when we return to normal water use," the city said in a news release on Friday.

The city will be contacting groups directly. Users can check the city's website for an update as to which fields are affected.

On Wednesday, the city announced it will keep pools and spray pads dry until the situation is resolved.
