At 6 p.m. on June 27, Saskatchewan Roughriders fans filled Mosaic Stadium to celebrate a new CFL season. By the end of the night, a feeling of utter disbelief started to sink in.

Just before the end of the second quarter, Riders quarterback Darian Durant suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and will miss the rest of the season.

While the news was hard to digest for some, it didn't take long for fans and CFL players to share their feelings on Durant's injury.

As Rider Nation woke up on Sunday, the reality of a season without Durant started to sink in for many fans.

Durant also took to Twitter to thank people for their support.
