It's summer job season in Saskatchewan and that means the Canada Summer Jobs program is up and running again.

This year, there's more money being put into the program so there will be seasonal jobs for 1,873 young people, compared to 836 last year, according to Regina-Wascana MP Ralph Goodale.

The jobs include everything from early childhood educators to computer programmers.

Goodale said federal spending on the program is $576,644 in Regina-Wascana. That money will help create 166 summer jobs, he said.
