Arthur Slade, a prolific and award-winning Saskatoon-based author, will be the next writer-in-residence at the Regina Public Library.

Arthur Slade, a prolific and award-winning Saskatoon-based author, will be the next writer-in-residence at the Regina Public Library.
Slade, 47, best known for his young adult fiction, will be on the job from September until May of next year.
He'll be working on his own projects, while also helping local writers.
He'll be the library's 26th writer-in-residence.
Among his awards was the Governor General's Award for Children's Literature in 2001 for his novel Dust.
He also won the TD Best Canadian Children's Book Award in 2010 for The Hunchback Assignments.
