18-year-old arrested after guns and gangs investigation in Saskatoon
A Saskatoon teenager has been arrested after an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service's guns and gangs unit.
During the investigation, police say they saw "activity consistent with drug trafficking."
Shortly after 4 p.m. on Feb. 10th, the police stopped a taxi near 25th Street East and Second Avenue North, and arrested the 18-year-old passenger.
At the time, he was in possession of a firearm, 33 grams of cocaine, 226 grams of cannabis, bear spray and over $600 in cash, said police.
He is facing eight firearms-related offences, and his charges include trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000, carry of a concealed weapon and breach of release.
