Applications being taken for new 'Saskatchewanderer'
Media-savvy explorer wanted for 1-year gig
Applications are now open for the provincial government's next "Saskatchewanderer" — someone who'll travel the province in 2016 and sing its praises on social media.
The Ministries of Parks Culture and Sport, the Economy, Agriculture and Tourism Saskatchewan say they're looking for "an enthusiastic, outgoing self-starter" with a love for social media and a passion for Saskatchewan.
The one-year gig pays $55,000 to $60,000.
The government started taking applications on Tuesday and will continue until Nov. 9.
Ashlyn George, the 2015 Saskatchewanderer, has spent the last few months doing things like helping out at a harvest, working with geologists at a mine, fishing at a northern resort, and flying with the Snowbirds.
