The province's chief coroner says alcohol was involved in a Wascana Lake drowning death of a homeless man last summer.
The body of Darlyn Boyd Johns, 47, was pulled from the Regina lake on Sept. 11, a day after he went into the water.
Now, chief coroner Kent Stewart has released more information about the death.
According to Stewart, the cause of death was drowning, but alcohol use was a major factor.
CBC News was told Johns had been living in the park in the days before he died.
The incident received wide attention after a witness said Johns' friend ran into difficulty trying to get people to dial 911.
