VIDEO: Help for firefighting at home

The Charlottetown Fire Department has a new high-tech video tool it plans to use to show local residents the proper way to use a fire extinguisher.

Too often, say fire officials, people find themselves having to read the directions on a fire extinguisher at the same time as they find themselves in a panic trying to put out a fire.

The tool includes a simulated fire on a video screen and an extinguisher. Officials are encouraging homeowners to call for their own personal training appointments.
