Bill Van Asperen captures the end of the snowiest winter on record.

Watch the biggest snowfall in Charlottetown history melt away.

CBC videographer Bill Van Asperen put a camera in his kitchen window on April 11, and for four weeks waited for the snow to disappear. That finally happened on Friday, May 8.

Capturing one frame every minute, this time-lapse video shows how quickly a two-metre pile of snow can disappear, even with the unwelcome drop of 18 centimetres at the end of April.
