The P.E.I. government says it will review its decision to eliminate 28 teachers' positions at P.E.I.'s English Language School Board.
The province and the P.E.I. Teachers' Federation met Monday to discuss the cuts.
- 28 teaching positions eliminated at English board
- Teachers concerned about budget cuts, delays in staffing
In a statement released by the province Monday afternoon, the province said, "school principals will be consulted to ensure necessary staffing levels are in place for the fall."
The process is expected to conclude by the end of July, says the province.
The province says the P.E.I. Teachers' Federation, which broke off contract talks last week due to the cuts, has agreed to resume negotiations following this process.
