Summerside police made three drunk-driving arrests over the weekend.

2 P.E.I. drivers, 1 Alberta man arrested

Summerside police made three drunk-driving arrests over the weekend.

The first was just after 10:30 p.m. Friday. Police stopped a vehicle for driving with no tail lights on.  A 34-year-old Summerside man was arrested and police say he provided breath samples in excess of the legal limit.

The second occurred just prior to 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers on patrol noted a vehicle swerving on the roadway and making an unusually wide turn. The driver, a 59-year-old Summerside man, was arrested for impaired driving.

Later that night, at about 2:45 a.m., police pulled over a vehicle they say failed to stop at a stop sign on Notre Dame Street. The driver, a 25-year-old Alberta man, was arrested for impaired driving.
