Speed a factor in Summerside motorcycle accident, say police

A motorcycle driver who crashed in Summerside, P.E.I., Thursday afternoon may have been going too fast, say police.

Police say the driver of the motorcycle was driving east on Greenwood Drive at about 5 p.m. when it hit an SUV that was turning into the OK Tire Shop parking lot.

The driver was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries, Police report his condition has been upgraded to stable.

Greenwood Drive was closed for a period of time to allow police to investigate the crash.
