Details of the P.E.I. visit of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were announced Friday afternoon.
Details of the P.E.I. visit of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were announced Friday afternoon.
The royal couple will spend 22 hours on the Island, never straying far from Charlottetown.
- Their first public event will be a celebration of Victoria Day at Province House Monday evening, which will include entertainment and fireworks. The concert starts at 6:30.
- Tuesday morning Charles and Camilla attend a Youth Parliament in the Legislative Chamber of Prince Edward Island and tour the Confederation Chamber.
- Charles visits Holland College, Prince of Wales Campus.
- Camilla tours Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown's newest seniors' residence.
- Charles meets with members of the Canadian Institute of Forestry at Government House.
- Early Tuesday afternoon Charles and Camilla visit Cornwall United Church to meet with Prince Edward Island groups, including women’s organizations, veterans, community groups and volunteers.
- Charles tours Bonshaw Provincial Park, while Camilla visits students at Immanuel Christian School.
