Roads slick following P.E.I. storm
A snowfall warning ended on P.E.I. early Monday morning as another winter storm passed over the region.
Up to five more centimetres of snow is expected. Environment Canada recorded six centimetres of snow at Charlottetown Airport by midnight, but the bulk of the snow fell in the early morning hours. By 6 a.m. in Charlottetown the snow was mixed with rain. The snow is heavy, and the streets are slick.
Roads west of Borden are snow covered, with most other main highways in the province partly covered.
The 6 a.m. Charlottetown to Toronto flight was cancelled Monday morning. Other flights were listed as on time at 7 a.m.
There are currently no power reported on P.E.I. Maritime Electric still has 12 linesmen working to restore power in New Brunswick, where about 3,700 customers still have no electricity. The utility said they will be called back if they are needed.
