RCMP investigate toddler death

A two-year-old New Brunswick child who is the focus of an RCMP investigation has died.

The child, from Central Blissville south of Fredericton, was taken to the IWK Hospital in Halifax last week. She had serious injuries to her head.

The young girl died early Friday morning. The Mounties are looking into what caused her injuries.

An autopsy will be performed within the next few days.
