Police remain at residence in Charlottetown to investigate 'suspicious death'
Police say there is no risk to the public
Police remained at a residence in Charlottetown on Sunday where they say they are investigating a "suspicious death."
Charlottetown Police Services issued a brief news release Saturday night saying they were investigating the death, and they believed there was no risk to the public.
It's unclear how or when police were notified of the death, but by 7 p.m. Saturday several police vehicles could be seen outside a house on St. Peters Road.
Det. Darren MacDougall would not provide any further details, but said police are investigating a single death.
No information has been released about the victim, or how the person may have died.
Police in hazmat suits could be seen in and around the residence on Sunday. The Summerside police forensic identification section was also on scene.
Police say they will provide an update on the investigation Monday.
