Rain will come to an end over P.E.I. Friday morning, but the trough of low pressure that brought it will leave some very mild temperatures behind.

Between five and 10 more millimetres of rain will fall, and the temperature will climb up to 7 C. The wind will blow out of the southeast, veering to southwest near noon, at 40 km/h gusting to 60, and diminishing over the course of the day.

Northumberland Ferries cancelled early sailings due to high winds, but returns to its normal schedule at 11 a.m.

The temperature will stay well above normal overnight, with a low near 4 C. Another band of rain will roll through, with another 10 to 15 millimetres falling.

The precipitation will continue in the morning, but change over to wet snow in falling temperatures. There could be up to two centimetres of snow, with the temperature falling to zero in the afternoon.
