Dozens of ATV drivers refuse to stop for RCMP
A crackdown by RCMP in western P.E.I. has ended with charges against several ATV users, along with two seized vehicles.
West Prince RCMP say they focused on the Tignish area last Thursday and Friday, working with provincial public safety officials. During that time they seized two ATVs and handed out six summary offence tickets and two warnings.
But police had an issue with people who refused to stop for them. A total of 33 ATV drivers refused to stop during six hours of patrolling.
RCMP gathered surveillance video of those drivers. Those investigations continue, and police are asking the public for help in identifying them.
