About 100 oyster fishermen are able to return to waters in the outer Charlottetown Harbour.

Environment Canada recommended a precautionary closure of parts of the Hillsborough River and adjacent areas after flows from the Stratford sewage facility were higher than normal with the rain earlier this week.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada has reopened the area to fishing, after testing came back at acceptable levels.
