P.E.I. schools will be back in session Thursday
'This is not a normal day and this is a day that I think we've responded to well'
Schools in P.E.I. will be back in session on Thursday, said P.E.I.'s Public Schools Branch following a province-wide evacuation order on Wednesday.
"We'll make sure those schools are places that students can return to. We'll be ready for tomorrow to have them back in the building," said director Parker Grimmer.

'This is not a normal day'
"This is not a normal day and this is a day that I think we've responded to well."
We did everything we could and we'll look at that to make sure that if there's more we can do if it was to every occur again.– Parker Grimmer
Grimmer said school officials did a good job of handling the evacuation.
"We did everything we could and we'll look at that to make sure that if there's more we can do if it was to ever occur again," he said.
"I think [an event like] this is new to us, so we're reacting in a new way to it, but we have plans and procedures and I think we followed them."
