Incident in Borden-Carleton ends safely, police say
Police had asked residents to shelter in place
The incident on Dickie Road in Borden-Carleton has ended safely, police say.
At about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, East Prince RCMP sent a news alert requesting residents of Dickie Road between Route 1 and Route 10 to shelter in place, lock their doors and avoid windows until further notice.
Drivers were also requested to avoid area.

Almost 30 minutes after sending the news alert, police put out a tweet about the incident asking people to "please avoid the area to allow police to work."
Then, at 6:15 p.m., RCMP sent a tweet to say the operation had "concluded safely."
CBC reached out to RCMP, but they wouldn't provide any other information at this time.
