Reduced crossings on Northumberland Ferries between P.E.I. and Nova Scotia are expected to continue into Tuesday.

MV Confederation was tied up with electrical problems Sunday, and technicians have been unable to solve the problem. A technician from Quebec is expected to be on board Tuesday to work on it.

The technical issue caused cancellations on Sunday and Monday.

The service has been operating with the MV Holiday Island only. On Monday there were five round-trip sailings scheduled,  leaving from Wood Islands, P.E.I., at 6:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Crossings from Caribou, N.S., were at 8 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 2:45 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
