Getting around some Parks Canada locations on P.E.I. will be more challenging over the next few weeks.
Some traffic restrictions will be in place so that road and parking area repaving can take place.
The following locations will be affected:
- Green Gables.
- Cavendish main beach.
- Graham's Lane.
- Gulf Shore Parkway between Brackley and Dalvay.
- Port-la-Joye – Fort Amherst Access Road and parking areas.
- MacMillian Lane.
- Bayshore.
Construction is also underway on the Covehead Bridge, and it will remain one lane only until mid-July. There is a timed traffic light in place.
Parks Canada officials say every effort will be made to ensure minimal disruption to visitors and local residents, but warn there may be short-term traffic delays.
