Just Passing Through nominated for Canadian Comedy Award
Season 2 launched in January
The P.E.I.-based web series Just Passing Through is up for a Canadian Comedy Award.
The nomination is for season two, which hit the internet in January.
"It's a pretty big deal for us," said co-creator Jeremy Larter.
"When you look through the nominations in the various categories it's really big heavy hitters in the Canadian film industry."
Online voting underway
The show is one of five nominees for best web series. Online voting for the nominees is open until Oct. 16.
Season one of the series focused on two P.E.I. cousins who leave the Island to try to find work in Alberta, but their car breaks down and they end up moving in with a cousin in Ontario.
In season two, they're are back on P.E.I., having to deal with their EI being cut off.
The second season was partly funded through a Kickstarter campaign, with the show's fans ponying up $55,000.
