One man dead in residential fire in eastern P.E.I.

One man died in a residential fire Thursday morning in eastern Prince Edward Island.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious at this time, says RCMP

One man died in a residential fire Thursday morning in eastern Prince Edward Island.

The fire in Farmington was reported around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 30. The St. Peters Fire Department and Kings District RCMP responded and found the home fully engulfed. A man's remains were found inside the building after the fire was extinguished.

Kings District RCMP are investigating, though the fire does not appear to be suspicious at this time, according to a news release.
