Northumberland Ferries has now cancelled four of Tuesday's crossings between P.E.I. and Nova Scotia.

The 11:15 and 2:45 p.m. sailings from Wood Islands, P.E.I., and the 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. crossings from Caribou, N.S., have been cancelled because of an issue with the electronics on MV Confederation.

That ferry has been taken out of commission for the rest of Tuesday, but sailings continue with the MV Holiday Island.

Officials said they hope to have the problem fixed as soon as possible, but felt it was best to take the ferry out of service for the day.
