29-year-old Greg Lunn faces charges of dangerous driving causing death

RCMP have charged a 29-year-old Millcove man with dangerous driving causing death in an October accident. (CBC)

29-year-old Greg Lunn of Millcove, P.E.I. has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death in connection with a fatal crash in York, P.E.I. last October, RCMP said in a written release Tuesday.

The two-vehicle crash happened Oct. 8, 2015 on Route 25. 

65-year-old Phyllis Joan Hammill, who was driving one of the vehicles, died at the scene as a result of her injuries. The occupants of the second vehicle were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries. 

Work from a collision reconstructionist, along with statements from witnesses at the scene, resulted in RCMP laying the charge.  

Lunn is scheduled to appear in provincial court later this month.
