Contractors working on Cornwall bypass have been instructed to ensure that there are two lanes available during rush hours in the direction of heaviest traffic during construction in the next week, says the Department of Transportation.
Construction resumed on the bypass this week, and there were some delays for commuters Friday morning. The province said the traffic was not making the best use of lanes available.
Work next week will focus on water work at North River intersection and improvements to the North River Bridge.
The province is recommending people use alternate routes if possible.
