People aged 30 and younger can now get $10 off certain shows at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

The new program, sponsored by TD Bank, will offer access to special discounted theatre and concert tickets.

"We think it's very significant and it's going to provide access to performances to a lot of young people that may not otherwise have been able to afford it," said CEO Jessie Inman.

"Maybe this program will be an incentive for them to think about it."

Tickets must be purchased in person at the box office. ID is required for proof of age.

The discounted tickets apply only to Confederation Centre productions, not rentals.

TD Bank has been a long-time sponsor of the Confederation Centre Young Company, sponsoring the Charlottetown Festival production since 1999.
