Cavendish Beach Music Festival: Chesney closes out weekend
Rain is in the forecast but remember, no umbrellas allowed
The Cavendish Beach Music Festival wraps up tonight with a performance by country superstar Kenny Chesney.
Dean Brody and Old Dominion, as well as P.E.I.'s own Jessica Gallant — who plays Anne in Anne of Green Gables, the Musical — are among the other acts performing Sunday at the eighth annual festival.
The gates opened at noon and close at 11 p.m.
Blake Shelton played to a huge crowd at the festival Saturday night.
Light rain is in the forecast for this afternoon and tonight but remember, umbrellas are not allowed inside the concert grounds.
GoPros and selfie sticks are not allowed this year either. No food or drinks can be brought in, with the exception of one sealed bottle of water.
Pickup locations
RCMP have asked anyone picking up concertgoers after 10:30 p.m. to have a spot pre-determined that coincides with the established traffic plan.
If you're east of the concert site, you'll want to choose a location in the direction of North Rustico, Brackley, Stanhope, Charlottetown, somewhere past the Cavendish Corner.
If you are west of the concert site, you'll want to choose a location in the direction of Stanley Bridge, Kensington, Summerside, somewhere past the Cavendish Boardwalk and Graham's Lane.

With the exception of registered taxis and coaches/buses, no inbound traffic will be allowed toward Avonlea Village on Route 6 from Cavendish Corner in the east and Graham's Lane in the west from 10:30 p.m. each night until pedestrian traffic has subsided to ensure the safety of those walking from the site.
