Search for missing woman in P.E.I. National Park now considered recovery effort

The search for a missing 35-year-old woman in the Brackley Beach area of P.E.I. National Park is now being treated as a recovery effort, say police.

The search for a missing 35-year-old woman in the Brackley Beach area of P.E.I. National Park is now being treated as a recovery effort, say police.

On Thursday, a RCMP dive team from New Brunswick arrived on the Island, and assisted with the search.

The woman was reported missing Wednesday morning. Her vehicle was found near the beach, and searchers spent hours along the shore.

RCMP said search crews will continue Friday morning.

Police are not asking for the public's help in the search at this time.
