P.E.I. weather forecast: Snow moves on, windy Friday
Snowfall warnings throughout the Island have ended
The centre of the storm that brought snow to P.E.I. overnight Thursday has moved on and Islanders can expect improving conditions.
The snowfall warning has ended.
Some flurries will continue Friday, and another two centimetres of snow could fall. About 10 centimetres of snow came down overnight.
The clouds will start to clear later this morning and there will be a mix of sun and cloud for the afternoon. Winds will start strong, at 50 km/h gusting to 70, but diminish to light later in the afternoon. The temperature will be steady near zero.
Scattered flurries will return overnight, under partly cloudy skies. The low will be near -2 C, and the wind will pick up again at 20 km/h gusting to 40.
Sun and cloud once more Saturday with scattered flurries in Kings County, and a high between 0 C and 2 C. The wind will be out of the northwest at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h.
