P.E.I. Nurses' Union set to vote on tentative agreement

A tentative agreement has been reached between the Prince Edward Island Nurses' Union, the provincial government and Health PEI.

A tentative agreement has been reached between the Prince Edward Island Nurses' Union, the provincial government and Health PEI. 

No details on the agreement have been released.

Over 1,100 union members will be presented with information about the agreement and then will vote on the deal. 

P.E.I. Nurses' Union president Mona O'Shea said the negotiation committee worked hard to reach an agreement. 

“We believe the agreement is the best we could achieve in the current climate," said O'Shea. 

The P.E.I. Nurses' Union has been without a contract since April 1st, 2014.
