A P.E.I. man who killed his ex-wife in Summerside in 1990 was once again granted day parole this week, but with strict conditions.
Kevin McMurrer, 46, is serving a life sentence for the second-degree murder of his ex-wife, Carrie McMurrer. He had already been paroled twice.
His first parole was in 2001, but it was revoked in 2003 after he was found guilty of assaulting a woman and possessing stolen property. Those convictions put him back behind bars.
Last May, McMurrer was again granted day parole. That was revoked in December after he contacted a female victim by going to her workplace.
McMurrer is banned from using alcohol and drugs, and cannot have contact with his previous victim.
