P.E.I. budget to be tabled Friday

P.E.I. Finance Minister Allen Roach will table the first budget under P.E.I. Premier Wade MacLauchlan Friday morning.

Roach will present the 2015-2016 budget at 11:15 a.m.

A media lockup will begin at 9 a.m.

Roach said Thursday Islanders can expect a "stable" and "fiscally responsible" budget.

He also said there won't be cuts to front-line services and that the government is working toward reaching a balanced budget by next year.

P.E.I. budgets are normally tabled in March or April, but the provincial election delayed things this year.
