The racing schedule for Old Home Week was unveiled Tuesday.

There will be 55 races spread over 10 days, capped off with the 56th running of the Gold Cup and Saucer on August 22.

Charlottetown's deputy mayor said the week is one of the highlights of the tourism season.

"Old Home Week is a week Islanders look forward to each year. It is a week when a lot of the greatest harness racing drivers come back home to race in their hometown in front of their family and friends," said Mike Duffy.

Old Home Week begins Thursday.
