An Ontario-based marine electrical engineering company said Friday it will build a new manufacturing facility in Stratford, just east of Charlottetown.
Aspin Kemp and Associates, based in Owen Sound, Ont., was already doing some work in Stratford, designing control panels for a diesel-electric hybrid tugboat.
"Aspin Kemp is a very successful global company that will create 10 new highly skilled engineering jobs here on P.E.I.," provincial Innovation Minister Allan Campbell said in a news release.
The Island government has given the company $230,000 for a labour rebate.
Construction on the new facility will begin in the spring.
