The number of lab-confirmed cases of the flu on P.E.I. continues to rise, says Health PEI.
38 lab-confirmed cases of influenza, 19 admitted to hospital
So far this season, there have been a total of 38 lab-confirmed cases of influenza, with 19 people admitted to hospital, says Health PEI.
Two outbreaks were reported in long-term care facilities, but those are now over.
Confirmed cases have increased across the country recently, says health officials, and they anticipate more cases in P.E.I. over the coming weeks as well.
