Cobey Adams garnered a second-place finish during his appearance on Chopped Canada, losing out in the dessert round.

The episode, titled Cooking with Heart, aired on Saturday and featured Adams, the head chef at Fireworks at the Inn of Bay Fortune, cooking with items from the mystery baskets in each round.

Adams impressed the judges with chicken heart mousse in the first round and a maple cookie-crusted cod in the second round.

But his brie and ginseng ice cream in the third and final round didn't put him over the top.

As a result, Adams missed out on the $10,000 prize but says it was a fantastic, but stressful experience.

Adams will return to his position as chef de cuisine when Fireworks opens on the May long weekend.
