Catherine MacLellan wins 2 Canadian Folk Music Awards
Catherine MacLellan joked on Monday morning she always does better at awards shows when she's sleeping.
The Island singer-songwriter woke to news that she can add two Canadian Folk Music Awards to her collection.
Side note: seems I do better at awards shows when I'm asleep. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/CFMA2015?src=hash">#CFMA2015</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/juno2015?src=hash">#juno2015</a>

The awards were handed out in Edmonton on Sunday night. MacLellan's album The Raven's Sun won in two categories: Contemporary Album of the Year and Solo Artist of the Year.
The Raven's Sun is the same album that captured the Juno for roots and traditional solo album earlier this year. MacLellan had to miss that show too because she was on the road in Germany.
Another Islander also claimed an award. Daniel Ledwell won Best Producer honours for an album he produced for his wife, Jenn Grant.
