Ottawa winter storm brings out 'snow heroes' throughout capital

Mother Nature heaps more than 50 centimetres of snow on Ottawa on Tuesday, leaving many people in the lurch as they tried to get home. Cue the "snow heroes."

Mother Nature heaped more than 50 centimetres of snow on Ottawa on Tuesday, leaving many people in the lurch as they tried to get home.

A storm can easily bring out the worst in us, as we just want to collapse and make snow angels.

It can also bring out the best in us, as we lend a helping hand to those in need of an extra shovel or push.

Neighbours cleared several driveways (and more).
