Camp Fortune operator says ski season may run into May this year.

Ottawa's seemingly endless winter has been a boon for ski hills and fishing holes this year, and some suggest the "good" times are not yet done.

Camp Fortune co-owner Peter Suderman said business at the Chelsea, Que., ski hill this week is up 30 per cent from the previous year and suggests with so much snow on the ground, it's hard to predict exactly when the season will end.

"We always seem to be able to get our season well into April, but we are still in mid-winter conditions, we haven't hit that spring skiing," said Suderman.

"I keep looking at the extended forecast, and I'm not seeing the big meltdown," he said. "This year, I'm thinking we might be skiing into May."

As Kamil Karamali reports in the above video, an extended winter has produced both winners and losers.
