Ottawa police seek owner of white Malibu after Marwan Arab homicide

Ottawa police are asking for the public's help to find a white Chevrolet Malibu and its owner after the car was seen leaving the area where Marwan Arab was shot to death in January.

Minutes earlier, at about 5:30 p.m., 20-year-old Arab was shot in the chest at Shifa Restaurant on Cobden Road, a short distance away from Iris and Woodroffe.

Arab's 22-year-old cousin, Ayyub Arab, was also shot but survived.

It was the city's sixth shooting and second homicide of 2016.
