What's open and closed on Easter weekend in Ottawa?

Here's a look at what's closed in Ottawa and elsewhere in the region through Easter weekend.
Friday, April 3
City services
Ottawa City Hall and the city's seven service centres are closed, as is the city's provincial offences court at 100 Constellation Crescent. The Ottawa City Hall building will be open so people can visit its three galleries and see the FIFA Women's World Cup trophy Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Garbage, recycling and green bin pickups that usually happen on Fridays will instead happen on Saturday.
OC Transpo will run a Sunday schedule and all sales and information centres will be closed.
Some pools, fitness centres and arenas will be open, with modified programming schedules. The city says to check its website for details on your location.
Ottawa Public Health's sexual health centre and satellite clinics, its dental clinics and Well Baby Drop-In are closed. Its site office on Clarence Street is closed but its mobile van will be running its regular schedule from 5 to 11:30 p.m.
City childcare services are closed, as are all Ottawa Public Library branches.
Groceries
- The Loblaws at 1 Plateau Boulevard in Gatineau is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. All other Loblaws, Independent and Farm Boy locations are closed.
- The Lansdowne Park Whole Foods is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Retail
- The Rideau Centre is closed.
- Bayshore Shopping Centre is closed.
- The St. Laurent Shopping Centre is closed.
- Place d'Orleans is closed.
- The ByWard Market is open.
Alcohol
- All LCBO stores and agency stores are closed. Some stores that normally close at 6 p.m. Thursday will be open later.
- All Beer Stores are closed.
- SAQ Express outlets are open.
Sunday, April 5
City services
- All Ottawa Public Library branches are closed.
Groceries
- UPDATE: The Lansdowne park Whole Foods will be closed after originally planning to open.
- All Loblaws, Independent and Farm Boy stores in Ottawa-Gatineau are closed.
Retail
- The Rideau Centre is closed.
- Bayshore Shopping Centre is closed.
- The St. Laurent Shopping Centre is closed.
- Place d'Orleans is closed.
- The ByWard Market is open.
Alcohol
- All LCBO stores and agency stores are closed.
- All Beer Stores are closed.
- Most SAQ Sélection stores are closed, most SAQ Classique stores are open and all SAQ Express stories are open.
Monday, April 6
City services

Garbage, recycling and green bin pickups that usually happen on Mondays will instead happen Tuesday, pushing back the rest of the city's pickups a day as well.
OC Transpo will run a slightly modified schedule with no school or 600-series routes. All OC Transpo sales and information centres will be closed except the Rideau Centre location, open 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
