Steve Miller, The Roots, Tanya Tagaq among Ottawa Jazzfest headliners
Polaris-prize winning throat singer Tanya Tagaq, venerable rocker Steve Miller and hip-hop mainstays The Roots are some the performers at this year's TD Ottawa Jazz Festival.

Polaris-prize winning throat singer Tanya Tagaq, venerable rocker Steve Miller and hip-hop mainstays The Roots are some the performers at this year's TD Ottawa Jazz Festival.
Jazzfest programming manager Petr Cancura was on CBC Radio's All in a Day to unveil some of the acts slated to appear at the 2015 festival, which is scheduled to run from June 18 to July 1.
Other main stage acts include English jazz-pop singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum, trumpeter Chris Botti, gospel group The Blind Boys of Alabama and Canadian folk icon Bruce Cockburn.
Other acts include:
- American funk band War;
- Horn band Tower of Power;
- Saxophonist Branford Marsalis;
- South African pianist Abdullah Ibrahim;
- Canadian pianist Renee Rosnes.
Local performers such as Jessie Stewart, The Sick Sick Sicks, Jenna Glatt, Rebecca Noelle and Cossette Combo are also lined up to play the summer festival.
